By eliminating log sorting, they have reduced labor and resource needs, and this in turn has led to lower operating costs and a smoother production process.

The new equipment has also enabled a reduction in intermediate log storage, resulting in a more efficient inventory and lower storage costs. The extra storage space that this frees up can now be used for other activities within the facility, further optimizing operations.

This has not only led to significantly higher production rates of sawn timber, but it has also improved the company’s productivity and profitability. Additionally, availability has also increased significantly, now reaching levels of around 98%. This improvement means less downtime and a greater level of efficiency throughout the production chain.
